Welcome to Our Practice

COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Patient:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your previous visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

  • For all patients, we will need updated paperwork that will need to be filled out before coming to your appointment. These forms can be found on our website at www.cantondentalma.com under the New Patient tab and can be brought in or emailed back to us at [email protected]

  • When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your car and call us at 781-821-2120 to check-in. We will inform you when we are ready for you.

  • We will check your temperature once you are in the office.

  • We will ask you to wash your hands when you enter the office. In addition, hand sanitizers will be found in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

  • All patients are asked to wear a face covering while in the clinic. A face covering is anything that covers your nose and mouth, including but not exclusive to dust masks, scarves and bandanas.

  • Social distancing measures are being taken within the clinic by rearranging the chairs in the waiting area. We will ask that only the patient come back to the treating areas, guardians/caregivers can accompany the patient only if necessary, otherwise they should wait in the car.

  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Chairs, tables and surfaces in the waiting room and the entire office will be cleaned frequently.

  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. Please remember that our office has been closed for almost three months.

  • All hygiene appointments are being confirmed by a phone call. If a patient does not respond within 48 hours from the phone call, the appointment will be canceled.

  • Our staff will be contacting you to reschedule all missed appointments due to the Covid-19 closure.

  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

  • All patients will be required to sign a document stating that they are exhibiting no symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms include, but are not limited to fever, chills, dry cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headaches or loss of taste and smell.

  • If at any point before your appointment you do experience any of these symptoms, you are required to inform our office.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 781-821-2120 or visit our website at www.cantondentalma.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

The Canton Dental Collaborative
